Zero Emissions Transit

promotes a 100% zero
emissions transportation
future for a livable climate.

Zero emissions transit is urgently needed.

ZET is here to help make it happen. We are an organization and a movement that enables all to participate in a better future. Working together, we can “get to zero.”

How?

Projects

ZET develops and implements zero emissions projects in Los Angeles and beyond. This includes a zero emissions aerial gondola system and safe, connected, and attractive pedestrian and bicycle-friendly streets.

Policy

ZET works with public officials to accelerate change benefitting zero emissions transit. This means more incentives, more opportunities, and more focus on zero emissions transit.

Programs

ZET fosters action on the ground-level. Our programs encourage community, educational, and business activation and participation.

Partnerships

ZET partners with businesses, organizations, and communities to create sustainable actions that have far-reaching impacts. For example, partnering with workplaces to create safe bicycle commute pathways.

People

ZET is in service of people. We are here to empower and better the lives of all, especially those in the disadvantaged communities most affected by climate change, pollution, and lack of zero-emission transit options.

Community Insights

Stan Kasten

Dodgers President and CEO

“We commend Zero Emissions Transit for its commitment to environmental sustainability and support any project that benefits the fan and our community. The gondola will help reduce traffic around Dodger Stadium, cut down on emissions, and enhance the fan experience.”

Community Insights

Inez Gomez

Resident, William Mead Homes, Mission Junction

“Living in downtown Los Angeles, I worry about the impact that cars and traffic have on my health and quality of life. The LA ART project just makes sense. It would have a dramatic impact on game day traffic in the neighborhood, saving time and frustration for fans and neighbors.”

What is zero emissions transit and why does it matter?

The effects of climate change are already apparent. It is impacting the livelihoods and health of communities near and far.

The transportation sector is the largest producer of greenhouse gases. But zero emissions transportation emits no pollution or harmful GHGs. It’s a clear solution.

We must quickly transition to a variety of zero emissions options to make the essential, world-altering impact for our communities and our environment.

So let’s do it.

Reality Check

It’s hot. And without action, it’s only going to get hotter.
